I was pretty nervous about Lauren starting because she has never done a real preschool before. I thought she might be at a bit of a disadvantage meeting so many kids and making friends. To my surprise and great pleasure I watched her instantly start going up to other little girls waiting outside the school and introduce herself and ask which class they were in. She made several new friends already and was still a little shy but confident enough to be outgoing and friendly. She is going to have a wonderful year. This is one of the little friends she made right away.
I'm really impressed with the school and the curriculum and the teachers. Lauren will be challenged in the class, but she is so ready and smart. Spencer kind of misses Lauren, but not too much. He gets to play on this when we drop her off and pick her up. Somehow I think he's really ok with the whole arrangement.

I'M NOT OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE A GRANDCHILD IN SCHOOL YET!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! I remember having really mixed feelings when Joe started kindergarten. Great pride but feeling choked up at the same time. Does your school have year round? Is that why so early? I am looking forward to and am nervous about Lincoln starting next month. I am not sure how he will feel about doing as he is told etc etc. It will be interesting to see his reaction to it all that is for sure. Congratulations to you both. That is a big day for Lauren and you. The other kids wont be quite the same experience.
That is so neat! Lauren looks so cute! I imagine that is a strange feeling sending you first child off to school!
What a big girl!! I love it, so fun!
