Happy Birthday Dad

I had a hard time this year trying to think of something to get my dad for his birthday. It had to be something special and memorable that he would like. Then I got to thinking, 'What does dad like?' There are a lot more things to choose from than I initially thought.

Dad enjoys sleeping in a good comfy chair.

He really likes to go swimming outside in the sun.

He likes ugly dogs, especially when they are behind their own fence in their own yard.

He even likes a few video games.

A man of many words.

But in all seriousness, he is the best father and a wonderful man who loves the Lord and the church.

We all love him and wish him a happy birthday! If you look way in the back you'll see George the Ghost wishing you a happy birthday too.

Happy Birthday Lauren Super Girl!

Lauren turned 7 on May first. She opened presents that morning and then had some uncles, cousins, and an aunt come over on Sunday to help sing happy birthday and eat cake. It was fun.

Th cake. Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.

We gave Lauren a cauldron and she and Spencer got busy making potions. Looks like a love potion to me.

The junior potions master.

Grandma and Grandpa Stanley sent this tissue paper flower kit. It's perfect because all the tissue paper is precut. Just fold and twist. I like it!

Grandma and Grandpa Snow sent Lauren and invisibility cloak. Pretty fancy for being invisible.

We also got Lauren a little owl. She named it Pig.

Some Fancy Nancy books from Grandpa and Grandma Stanley. Good reading ahead. . .I hope.

Grandma and Grandpa Stanley also sent this loom. Lauren is already busy making a purse.

I panned over to Brenna so you could see her very untrusting stare at Uncle Andrew across the table.
