It was a crisp winter morning in Southern California with the prospect of becoming a warm beautiful day. I wore flip-flops to the park that day. When we got to the Club for lunch I was told I needed to put on different shoes if I had them or go to one of the shops and buy some suitable footwear. Flip flops were not permitted in the club. Had my flip-flops been sandals I would have been fine. Had my flip-flops had glitter on them I would have been fine. Sadly they were neither and I didn't have an extra pair. My flip-flops look exactly like this except the decorative rivets on mine are open rings.

So I was formally escorted out of Club 33 and instructed to go to another part of the park and buy some proper footwear. The proper footwear ended up being a pair of Disney crocs. I selected the blue model, but the size was not quite right. I didn't want the black or pink ones.

They were apparently classier than my poor flip-flops and I was allowed to re-enter the club and join my party for lunch. Incidentally, the crocs cost 4 times what they cost outside the park. That little Mickey Mouse cutout is really pricey. I wore them only in the club and Ben returned them immediately after lunch. We contemplated keeping them as a souvenir, but I don't even really like crocs and especially not $40 crocs! Personally, I think Disneyland just doesn't like my Wal-Mart flip-flops.

That is crazy. Who knew there was a "dress code". Very funny. I love crocs, except I don't but that brand (too expensive) I buy a brand at Payless. I bought Ben Benn some sandal crocs at Walmart yesterday for the summer.
I bought Emma and I the Payless brand on sale for girls camp. Flip Flops aren't allowed there for safety reasons except in the showers. This way if our shoes get wet because of rain we can wear the sudocrocs.
