Lauren has a pretty neat trick too. When all the bread is gone she goes over to the stroller and rustles the empty bag. This attracts the ducks to her whereupon she chases them away. They fall for it every time. Classical conditioning is very tough to break, but Lauren is trying. Stimulus then negative response, stimulus then negative response. We'll know it has worked when the birds first get a glimpse of Spencer the next time we go to the park and they all swim to the middle of the pond.
And this is why we won't be getting a pet any time soon, at least not one any bigger than a small fish.

That is so funny! I did notice all the duck pooh on the sidewalk. Do the kids realize that is what they are walking on?
Cute videos. Love Spencer's Hiyah(?)! I wish we had nice weather like you guy's. We've got cabin fever. That reminds me of the scene from Muppet's Treasure Island :)
Here's another story of Spencer's sneakiness. The kids love to wrestle with Ben when he gets home. (It's not so good right now because Ben often doesn't get home until just a few minutes before bedtime and then the kids are too wound up to go to bed for atleast 45 minutes.) Last night they were all wrestling and suddenly Spencer stops and holds is wrist. Ben stops and asks Spencer if he got hurt. Just when Ben lets his guard down and comes in close to examine Spence's wrist, Spencer pounces. He was faking!!
Oh my goodness that was just so awesome!! What a little character! And the Link singing and egg painting - you guys have been busy! I think you should take Spence to the ducks every day for the rest of his life. He will be the happiest child ever. That evil giggle was just so contagious!
