When I met with Lauren's kindergarten teacher for her midyear report card she said Lauren really had a good grasp on spatial relations, shapes and colors. Lauren could easily and quickly sort items by color and then again by size and she would make very intricate patterns with colored geometric shapes. She is able to easily see how things fit together. That is not something she gets from me. Organic chemistry with its spatial symmetry and such was definitely a challenge for me. Perhaps she gets it from Ben since he is so good at 3D video games.
Lauren is also very good with numbers and math concepts. I think she'll be an architect. Yesterday she built some towers out of blocks and I had to take pictures because they were really unusual and creative. Maybe our little girl will make us millions of dollars some day.

I love those blocks. I'll have to get Ben benn some.
Those are very impressive. I am not impressed with the Kindergarten program at our kids school. Here it is March and we havn't had a single opportunity to sit down with Lincoln's teacher and hear his strengths and weaknesses from his teacher. It kind of stresses me out! Our other kids kindergarten teacher did conferences.
All those cities makes me thing of settlers ;~) Don't be too hard on yourself. Your brain is pretty talented too. Maybe just in different areas than Lauren's. Also, I love the look on Spencer's face in that first picture. It looks like he is trying really hard to control himself and then in the second picture you see his hand reaching out. Makes me think of Andrew :D
