I combined a few posts together for this one. We went with Ben's family to the Oquirrh Temple open house on the last day. It was so crowded! The temple is beautiful. I'm sad I couldn't go with my family. Here is the stroller crew.
9 cups of chopped peaches plus 18 cups of sugar gives you 20+ jars of freezer jam. Yummers! We still have all those peaches in the bowl left over. I ran out of jars and pectin and had to break into the food storage sugar. Ben still wants strawberry freezer jam so I need to get some more jars and find a good farmers market.

The open house was closed on July 4 the day we were there, so sad! Hopefully we can see some pictures of the inside at the church web site. We do have the beautiful Nauvoo temple here though.
Great job with the peaches. You'll have to bottle some too next year. Home bottle peaches are wonderful!
As for your carrots, do you like a carrot salad? Also you can cook them with a roast or make carrot cake from scratch. I do have a wonderful muffin recipe that has grated carrots in it.
Wow, you have been busy since I saw you last and that was the day before yesterday! Way to go!
Delicious!
I like to julienne slice carrots, steam or boil them until not quite tender, then saute them in butter and honey or brown sugar. You might find you like cooked carrots if they're smothered in honey or brown sugar :)
