Glucose Test

Ick, ick, and ick. I hate taking this test. I long for the day when my OB will just hand me a bag of gummy bears or jelly bellies and tell me to eat them in 10 minutes. I can do that no problem, but having to drink that horrible, almost fizzy brew is just inhumane. These would be so much better.

The baby is doing very well. My uterus was measuring a little small last month, but I think the baby just hadn't popped out of my pevic region yet. Not the case this month. I was right where I am supposed to be and her heartbeat sounded perfect. I get to start tracking kick counts come week 28. That will be tons of fun. I guess after dinner Lauren and I will sit down together and do our homework.

I never had a hard time with the glucose test to be honest. Just like super sweet soda. . .like Sprite..which I do not prefer but I can stand. Gummie bears or jellybeans would be far more preferable I agree.

I remember those glucose tests. I hated them too! I didn't have to take them with you and Matthew though. Modern Medicine :~) Jelly bellies would be better but you have to come in fasting and that much sugar in any form when you are that pregnant is going to make you feel sick on an empty stomach. :~P

I got sick with mine. I was nauseated the whole day. Good luck!

Actually I didn't need to fast for this test. I just needed to be sure not to eat sugary things for breakfast right before the test. No syrup on my pancakes or Frosted Flakes. It wasn't so bad since I didn't have an empty stomach. When I took the test with Lauren I did fast and it was really really really bad.
